Sotogrande Wedding Photographer

Elegant, natural and editorial wedding photography for couples getting married in Sotogrande and the surrounding area.

Sotogrande has a particular kind of elegance — Mediterranean light, beautiful landscapes, private estates and a relaxed sense of luxury. It’s a wonderful setting for a wedding that feels refined without ever feeling too formal.

My approach is calm, unobtrusive and personal. I’ll guide you when you need it, capture the moments you never want to forget, and create a little space for more editorial portraits when the time feels right. The result is a collection of photographs that feels polished and beautiful, but still completely like you.

A Sotogrande wedding, beautifully documented

Sotogrande is one of those places that feels effortlessly elegant. From private estates and Mediterranean gardens to the marina, coastline and surrounding countryside, there are so many beautiful settings for a wedding that feels personal, refined and completely your own.

I photograph weddings throughout Sotogrande and the surrounding area with a relaxed, editorial approach — giving you space to enjoy the day while making sure the moments, atmosphere and details are beautifully documented.

Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or a larger destination wedding, I'll help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, guide you when needed and create photographs that feel natural, timeless and a little bit fashion-forward.

Natural moments, with an editorial touch

Most of the day, I work in a natural and unobtrusive way, capturing the moments as they happen — the laughter, the emotions, the little details and everything in between. I’ll give you gentle direction when you need it, without turning your wedding into a photoshoot.

Then, when the time is right, we can create something a little more editorial. Think elegant portraits, beautiful light and a touch of fashion-inspired imagery, while still making sure you look and feel like yourselves.

If you want photographs that feel authentic but beautifully refined, with a photographer who knows when to step in and when to simply let the moment happen, you’re in the right place.

Planning a Sotogrande Wedding

Planning a destination wedding in Sotogrande often means organising everything from another country, so having a photographer who can make the photography side feel easy is important. I’ll help you think through the timeline, the best time for portraits, and how much time we actually need for photographs — without taking you away from your guests and your celebration for hours.

Sotogrande’s beautiful Mediterranean light is one of the reasons I love photographing weddings here. We’ll make the most of the setting and the light while keeping the experience relaxed, so your photographs feel connected to the atmosphere of the day rather than staged around it.

Your Sotogrande wedding, from start to finish

Let’s craft memories that last a lifetime

I photograph the whole story of your wedding day - from the anticipation of getting ready to the ceremony, time with your guests, portraits together and everything that happens afterwards.

We’ll make sure there’s enough time for beautiful portraits without disappearing for half the day. The rest is about being present, enjoying your people and letting me document what happens naturally.

Why get married in Sotogrande?

Sotogrande has a quieter kind of luxury. It combines beautiful Mediterranean landscapes with elegant private estates, coastal venues and the relaxed atmosphere of southern Spain, without feeling as busy as some of the more famous destinations on the Costa del Sol.

For destination couples and their guests, it’s also wonderfully easy to reach, with Gibraltar Airport nearby and Málaga Airport within driving distance. You can spend the wedding weekend enjoying the beaches, marina, restaurants and countryside, while still having plenty of privacy for the celebration itself.

And from a photography perspective, I love the variety. There’s beautiful architecture, gardens, coastline and open countryside, giving us plenty to work with without having to turn your wedding day into a photoshoot.

I’ll help you work out what makes sense for your plans, from the key moments you want captured to the time we’ll need for portraits and everything in between.

Kind words from my couples

We cannot recommend Anna highly enough! She photographed both our elopement in Gibraltar and our wedding in Spain, she made the entire experience feel effortless. From our very first meeting, we felt an instant connection with her, and she was such a joy to work with throughout.

Anna helped us feel completely comfortable, relaxed, and natural in front of the camera, which made such a difference on both days.

The photos came out absolutely beautiful and captured every moment perfectly. We truly couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you, Anna, for giving us memories that we will cherish forever!

We had the best experience with Anna Miel doing our wedding photography. She has a great energy that keeps the spirits high and reflects in the quality of the photos. She was very good at following our wishes and making sure she took photos we wanted plus many more we hadn’t thought about and were surprised by.

Thank you for your incredible work, Anna

How far in advance should we book our Sotogrande wedding photographer?

I recommend getting in touch as soon as you have your venue and date confirmed, particularly for popular wedding dates and the spring and summer months. That said, if your wedding is coming up sooner, it’s always worth asking as I may still have availability.

How much photography coverage do we need for our wedding?

For most weddings, I recommend around 8 hours of photography coverage. This allows us to tell the full story of your day, from getting ready and those quieter moments before the ceremony through to the celebrations, without having to rush from one part of the day to another.

Having enough time also means you can relax and enjoy your wedding rather than feeling like everything needs to happen around the photographs. I’ll be there to capture the important moments, the atmosphere and all the little things happening in between, while giving you plenty of time to simply be present and enjoy your day.

Can you help us plan the photography timeline?

Absolutely. Once I know a little about your plans, I can help you work out a timeline that allows enough time for beautiful photographs without taking you away from your guests for too long. I’ll consider the light, your venue, getting ready, the ceremony and the flow of the day so everything feels relaxed rather than rushed.

What happens if we've never had professional photos taken before?

That’s completely fine! you don’t need to know how to pose or what to do in front of the camera. I’ll give you gentle direction when it’s needed, while keeping things natural and relaxed. Most of my couples aren’t models, and my job is to make you feel comfortable while creating photographs that still feel beautiful.
